  1. Yeah, I read the article about marriage making us happy, and I am not sure what I think. There was a word I thought could be used in that context, and that's "contentment." Happiness the way the world understand it waxes and wanes. When we think "happy," don't we automatically think of euphoria? I don't know as if that's a sustainable thing, ultimately.

  2. i would have to say that i pretty much agree with the guy who wrote the "marriage making us happy" post. i think that God does want us to be happy, but not happy superficially, the inner peace kind of happiness. I know that my earthy parents want me to be happy, and as a parent i want my kids to be happy, so since God is my heavenly father i would think that my happiness is important to him. marriage can be really really hard at times, we struggle, we fight, we cry, but i can say that my heart is so happy and so full of love and joy for my husband that it totally overwrites the bad experiences.
